Legal notice & privacy

The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is Dennis Ploetner, address as in the legal notice above, email [email protected].

Each time you open a page, the web server records technical data: IP address, date and time, the requested address, the referring page, browser and operating system (user agent) and the status code. This is needed to deliver the website and to keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest).

The logs are deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless an incident has to be investigated. The server is operated by Hostinger (server location: Frankfurt am Main, Germany), which processes the data on my behalf (Art. 28 GDPR).

The website is delivered through Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., San Francisco, USA), which protects it against attacks and speeds up delivery. Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical request data and may set technically necessary cookies to tell people from bots. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the USA are based on it.

When you run the check, this server requests the public pages of the address you entered (front page, robots.txt, llms.txt) and evaluates the answers. The result is cached for 10 minutes per address, so that repeated checks do not hit the same site again. Address and result are not stored beyond that and are not linked to you.

To prevent misuse, the number of checks per visitor is limited. For this, a salted one-way hash of your IP address is kept as a counter for 10 minutes. In addition, the site counts per day how many checks ran, without addresses or IP addresses. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

If you use the inquiry form or write me an email, I process the details you provide (name, email address, optionally company, website and your message) to answer and to prepare an offer (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps prior to a contract, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Form inquiries are stored on this website and forwarded to me by email.

Inquiries are deleted automatically 12 months after they arrive. If a project follows, the data needed for it moves to the project records and is kept as long as tax and commercial law require. To limit spam, the form also keeps a salted one-way hash of your IP address as a counter for one hour.

This website only uses technically necessary cookies (see Cloudflare). There is no analytics, no tracking and no advertising, which is why you do not see a cookie banner. Fonts are served from this server; no third-party content is loaded.

Links to other websites only transfer data once you click them. From then on, the privacy policy of that website applies.

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Just write to [email protected].
